Founder & CEO
Jason Brown
Jason is a certified Q Arabica Grader, Q Processing Professional, and CQI Instructor with the Coffee Quality Institute. These credentials represent the highest standard of coffee quality evaluation and processing expertise in the specialty coffee industry.
With over 7 years of hands-on experience, Jason founded and operated a premium specialty coffee roastery in Myanmar, where he pioneered direct trade relationships with smallholder farmers in the Shan State highlands.
Under his leadership, the roastery became known for prefinancing harvests from farmers producing the highest-graded Myanmar specialty coffee, enabling them to focus on quality over volume. This coffee was exported to specialty roasters and cafes across more than 20 countries worldwide.
Jason's unique combination of coffee expertise and 15+ years as a software developer led him to create Seedlot, bringing transparency and technology to the specialty coffee supply chain.
